Magic ETL Product Enhancement Ideas
Love the new undo/redo in Magic! Would love to have undo/redo keyboard shortcuts.
It would be very helpful to navigate the new history with Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y for Windows and Command + Z and Command + Shift + Z for MacOS for undo and redo actions.
Allow sticky notes to be two grid spaces tall and two wide (currently they can't be smaller than three tall and three wide). This would allow for notes the same size as tiles, which is great for placeholders.
Add a way to duplicate a sticky note. Having to restyle a note every time I create one is tedious. If I want the same style of note (which I often do), being able to duplicate and just change a few things like the text would be very convenient.
The colors for sections differ across the picker bar, the selected icon, and the section background. Not a huge thing TBH, but it does trip me up a bit when I don't get the same color I pick. The selected color icon I understand a bit more, as otherwise it would blend with the background.
Problem:Currently, there’s no way to see if someone is actively editing a DataFlow in Domo. This can lead to team members accidentally overwriting each other’s changes, especially in collaborative environments. Currently you need to add datasets one-by-one and it is very cumbersome. Would be nice if multiple datasets could be selected at a time.
I love the functionality of dynamic unpivot for transforming my data vertically, I would love to see a similar functionality for adding columns
An ETL can have several workstreams. We may have a workstream we do not want to remove, but do not want running anymore. Today this is a challenge solved with copy or versioning, but what if you could 'REM' out a workstream or block. Example: I have a temporary filter I set or testing. The ability to select specific blocks to run as a preview. Case: In an ETL we have several workstreams and outputs. I want to be able to select a specific area to exclude or include from a preview. Considerations: Will always need to have the source data to preview, but select a path to only preview.
