forcing x-axis in bar chart to ignore filters
Hi all
I have 30-40,000 rows of data presented to a bar chart with 5 dashboard filters operating across the data.
There are 15 different categories presented as the x-axis. Occassionaly filtering removes one of these categories. I'm trying to find a way to leave the category on the x-axis despite the fact that it is no longer within the filtered data. Does that makes sense? I want the reader of the data to see that the category is there but empty.
Thanks in advance for any and all ideas.

The only way that I can think of making that work is by creating rows in your data with a value of 0 for each category/filter combination. You can do this pretty easily in Magic ETL if you are not able to do it directly in your source data.

Yeah - thanks, Mark. There are so many combinations of columns I'd need to create and unfortunately it's infinite given the data I'm ingesting daily. I was hoping there'd be something similar to FIXED BY FILTER DENY etc. that you could apply to the x-axis. Thanks anyway.
