Magic ETL - tile now beyond scroll ability

I'm not sure if something changed with Domo recently (upgrades or modifications), but I have a magic ETL and all of a sudden one of my tiles is hidden beyond the range I'm able to scroll to on the right side. So I cannot open this tile or grab it to move it. Very weird. Our ETLs get massive and often end up filling the entire space allotted, but I know for sure I've always been able to scroll and see this tile.

Anyone else have this?

If you move the window to the left, and then stretch your window width a bit more, you should gain access to that part that you can't reach.

Take the window out of full mode and do alt+{space}, then "m".

I feel for you. I have a flow that fills the width as well. Not as "elegantly" as yours though. ;)

You can minimize the scale of the UI within MagicETL from 0-200% What is it currently set to?

I don't remember which % I was at, but I've tested it from 40-200 % with the same results. I may submit a ticket, but I just wanted to check here first.

I would also confirm if it is occurring from another browser. However, if you have tested the scale and the issue is still happening. I recommend submitting a case with our support.

@Jbrorby I'd say if your canvas looks like that you're probably reaching the limits of what should be done in a single ETL. A better practice might be to break some of these sections into their own ETL's and then use those outputs as inputs into a main dataflow that gives the same output as this. Just based on your screenshot it looks like you have a lot of different inputs that feed into it, are there any logical groups you could start to break this up with?

  • I think what others have said are more likely, but I am curious if this has anything to do with the ETL mini-map beta. Are you a part of that beta? You'll know if you are if this map pops up in the bottom right of your ETL:

@ArborRose this worked. They usually start out as elegant, but then they just want more and more and more. 😄

@ColemenWilson I do not see that so I must not be part of it. The most recent beta I took part in is the SQL tile under Utility in ETL
