Community friends, I need your help!

The Domo Education Team is looking for topics to use for a new series of videos, based on real-world scenarios and solutions. The theme of the series is walk-throughs of design patterns, processes, techniques, etc., that everyone should have in their Domo skills arsenal. To that end, I'd love to know from all of you: what's something you wish you had known earlier that could you think other Domo users could benefit from. We're looking for broadly applicable topics that might be helpful for a number of use cases.

1. Account Management best practices, any tooling to manage accounts.
2. How to manage POCs, DEV, and Prod pipelines in Domo.

1. How to optimize data pipelines in Domo (DSV, Magic 2.0, Upsert connectors, etc.)
2. Dashboard design best practices (What makes a dashboard stand out? How do you tailor your dashboard to the intended audience?)
3. More Domo Everywhere content!! This feels like a black box at times, as I haven't seen very many public-facing training videos on the topic.

1. +1 on Account Management. I have spent a ton of time creating dashboards to audit my instance (more advanced than just DomoStats). In order to monitor what is coming in, going out, and managing users (especially across multiple instances). Learning how/why to create custom roles would also be a good part of that.
2. +1 on Domo Everywhere content. Best practices for creating published jobs would be good. Especially since each job creates a new federated dataset. I made a mess when I started and now I have to clean it up 🙃
3. How to utilize new features once they come out, I always struggle creating content for my users regarding new features so then we just don't end up using them for a while. Having some concrete examples would be useful (ex. I never got to using Segments and I still couldn't tell you how to use them).
4. Best practices for instance health. I have so many users creating so many flows and rows of data that could be much more optimized. Going over Magic ETL best practices for a clean instance and quicker run time would be useful.
5. Creating alerts to manage data. This is one I learned to do myself by doing error checking in flows to create error datasets, making error checking cards, and more recently just putting alerts on a dataset. Knowing your data is wrong before it has time to make it to the end user is very useful.

This is super helpful, everyone! I really appreciate the input. I'm adding all of these topics to our discussion pool and will work with my team to plan ways to incorporate them.

I would like to see more training around some of the newer features. For Example, when you release a new chart type, it should come with a training. Not only a training to help users understand how to build the chart, what options are available in the properties, etc... but also a training about why and when this chart should be used over other options. Why did Domo feel this chart was a benefit to their library?

I would also want training around features. For example, Segments. How do you build segments? How do you use them? But also why would you build segment? What situations are the right time to look into setting up segments as a solution?

In my mind, anytime a new feature or chart type is added, there should be at least one training course to answer these kinds of questions.
