Google Ads connector - Location tab - Geographic View Report
Hello,
I brought in some simple data from the Google Ads Geographic Views report. Something as simple as metrics_clicks or metrics_impressions are not matching the UI's Location tab, under 'Targeted Locations'.
The strangest part is the clicks and impressions match (connector and UI) for some of our Client Customer IDs, but not others.
Has anyone come across this? Any ideas what might be going on?

So I hope this helps, but may need to see what you're seeing to better understand:
Also here is that google sheet with list of Google IDs per state name:

Even if I do a pull on the Country-Level, total clicks and total impressions do not match up; the UI numbers are higher by about 10%.

@DashboardDude Wow! Thank you!! Apologies for not checking this sooner, yesterday was my in-office day, including 4 hours on the road . I just booked time with you tomorrow.
Yes, I used the constants key [provided by Google API documentation] to map Zip Code constants in MagicETL, and create a Criteria ID field —> REPLACE(segments_geoTargetPostalCode
, 'geoTargetConstants/', '') .
I have done this for Target Locations by coordinates as well, mapping to the same key and creating Criteria ID field —> REPLACE(segments_geoTargetMostSpecificLocation
, 'geoTargetConstants/', '') .
The problem is now that each ETL works for one Target Type (location or zip code).
For example, if I filter for campaigns with just zip code target types, the zip code ETL data matches. But each ETL still brings in all the data, regardless of Target Type.
If I check 'by coordinates data' in the zip code ETL, it's wrong, and vice versa.
I cannot find a way to segment or filter or exclude data in the GAds connector based on which Target Type is used.
Any help is appreciated!0 -
Glad we got it to work! Great to talk today.
