Creating an alert not based on a summary number

I am trying to create an alert on a specific card to alert me x amount of days before an upcoming date. I have created a field in the ETL that shows how many days are remaining before the specified date but when I go to create the alert the only trigger it allows me to use is off of a summary number and not off of a row like shown in the "alert" articles found in the domo help center. Is there a way that I can do this still or is it no longer a feature?

    I think only certain types of cards allow non-summary member alerts, but I've always just used summary numbers for alerts so I'm not positive. I usually just create separate cards just for having summary number based alerts

    Have you tried looking into doing a dataset alert on your dataset where you're calculating the days?
