🚀 Tip of the Week #7 – Dataset Views: Fast Data Shaping, No ETL Required ⚡🔍⚡

Dataset Views let you reshape and explore your datasets without jumping into Magic ETL. Fast, flexible, and no SQL required. 🙌 

🎯 Here’s what you can do: 
✅ Filter, sort, and transform directly from the dataset view 
✅ Create calculated fields with just a few clicks 
✅ Save your view and use it like any other dataset—no pipelines needed 

✨ How to use it: 

  1. Go to Data Center and open a dataset 
  2. Click Open With à Views Explorer in the top right 🔍 
  3. Use the visual editor to shape your data—add filters, calculated fields, and rename columns 
  4. Hit Save & Close and boom 💥—you’ve got a new view, ready to go!

    One of the great things about Views in Domo is that they update automatically whenever the underlying dataset changes. This is super handy if you're using a Form in App Studio and want to see the results instantly. You can create a View based on your form’s dataset, build a card on top of that View, and the card will refresh automatically right on your App Studio page—no need to reload anything! It really makes the whole process smooth and seamless.
