Are Embed Codes Not Universal?

My colleague and I are viewing the same dashboard in DOMO, but when we go to Share → Embed Dashboard → Private, the embed codes are different. I was under the impression these codes were universal. Is that not the case?
This is causing confusion when determining which version is live within our Domo BI (via Clearsquare), when looking at the embed codes within the Pages section. It also makes it difficult to align display settings during updates.

Private embed codes should be user-specific for authenticated embedding. When you use private embed, the code can be generated for specific users or sessions. So they may be different. If you use Domo Everywhere it should generate a single embed code that is universal. If you don't need the embed to be private, switch to public embed. Be caution about exposing your data to the public though.
