Drilldown colour follow through each dashboard

Hi

In my dataset I have my top dashboard vertical bar as an overview of business units which drill down to the users then to the pages they've viewed (also vertical bars)

At Business Unit level, I've set specific colours to each of them but I can't figure out if it's possible to take those colours through the drill path without having to manually add every user then every page in the drilldown pages

Is it possible to ensure that when someone clicks on a green business unit, the user values show green and if they choose a red business unit the users show red

Thanks

Daniel

  • Kind of, but not really. Directly as you stated, it isn't possible unless you do what you said, make a color rule for every user then every page. However, if the business unit column shows up in that drill path, it will be colored. So, you could keep the user/page as your x- or y-axis value but add the business unit as the series value. Alternatively, you can switch to using a table for the user and page drill paths, set the color rules to fill a whole row (the default), and add business unit to the tables.
If neither of those work arounds is what you're looking for, you could go the route of adding color rules for every user and page and use the API to make it less manual.
