How can I combine multiple data points from the same data column into one new data point.

Hello all, and thank you for any advice. I am trying to build out a card that combines multiple different values into one on a card. For example; say a column is tracking colors. I have values of red, blue, green, white, black, yellow. Could I create a card that shows black as one value, then combine all of the other colors to be “other colors” so there would only be two data points for that column instead of all of the different colors? Thanks!

Yes. You can use a beastmode to accomplish this:

CASE WHEN `Color` = 'Black' THEN 'Black' ELSE 'Other Colors' END

Here is a good video to help if you've not used beastmodes before:

If I solved your problem, please select "yes" above

  • Thanks again @ColemenWilson - as is for my other post you helped out with, I won’t be able to try this until tomorrow (I thought it would take longer to get a response!) when I am back at my desk, but I will try it and come back with an update tomorrow. I really appreciate the responses, so thank you.

  • @ColemenWilson This worked perfectly - thank you.
