I Have a year and a month column in my dataset which are in the format of integers. I want to create a beast mode calculation to concat them and have them as a date field. How can i do that?
You can utilize the STR_TO_DATE function and a date format string to convert it to a date.
STR_TO_DATE(CONCAT(`Year`, '-',`Month`), '%Y-%m')
I'm adding in a concat to add the year and month together as a string to then format.
From the documentation:
STR_TO_DATE
Converts strings (that Domo does not recognize as dates) from one or more string columns into datetime values. You specify the column(s) and the current date format used in those columns. STR_TO_DATE('DateCol','%m,%d,%Y')
Hello @domoexpert
Try this
STR_TO_DATE(CONCAT(`YearColumn`,'-',`MonthColumn`,'-01'),'%Y,%m,%d')
