Bar chart- return top 10 rows by year
Hello,
I have a dataset in excel with "year", "viewers", and "market" columns. Is there a way to have the top 10 markets (based on # of viewers) return by year for 3 years. For instance, in the "year" column, we have 2017, 2018, and 2019. Each year has its own bar column. I want the top ten "Markets" based on "viewers" for each year. When I currently try to do this, it ranks the markets for all 3 years and returns the top 30 in total but I need the top 10 of each year independantly.

hmm.... I just realized think it is a lil buggy. Unfortunately, the max number of bars doesn't seem to apply. So if you have more than 10 markets, all the market will appear in the chart if the setup is done as shown in the screenshot. I'll play around a lil bit more to see if can cap it @ 10.

Try this to cap to 10. Create the rank and then apply the filter in the dasboard.
