Card Color Options
Curious if anyone has a workaround for highlighting the top x rows of a table when creating a card. The color rule options are all based on the value of a column, but I just need to highlight the top 2 rows on the chart (as it is sorted on a measure column greatest to smallest)
Essentially here is what it would look like (and I would want the west and north highlighted in this example, but the numbers will change, so always Rank 1 and 2):
Rank | Area | Metric |
---|---|---|
1 | West | 10 |
2 | North | 7 |
3 | East | 5 |
4 | South | 2 |
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could set the color rule based on rank. So when Rank <= 2 then color

Thank you, how do I do that. Are you saying beastmode formulas can color rows? I didn't think there was a rank function, so the first column is simply the same data as the last column, just displayed as "ranked highest to lowest".

You can use a rank & window tile in your ETL to create a rank or create a rank with the following beastmode:
RANK(Metric
) OVER (order byMetric
DESC)This will create a dynamic rank value that you can use to assign your color rule.
