Textbox Card for Filtering on Dashboard

Hi there,

I am trying to make a dynamic landing page that filters based on the domain that they select. For instance, "Finance & Accounting". (We have linked that to a dataset for the dashboard parent pages. )

If I click on Finance and Accounting, it should filter the below two cards :

(it is currently filtered manually to protect data)

When I manually add the filter to the page level filtering as well as when I made the card a checkbox selector instead of textbox both of the cards filtered appropriately, so I know the dashboards cards are working appropriately. I need a way to filter based on the click of the "Finance & Accounting" button as a textbox at the top.

Is that possible?

Instead of text boxes, you could use some other filter card. Then you could avoid using pfilters and reloading the page each time. I would recommend a slicer filter card for a similar look and feel to what you have currently. Filter Views are what most use for this type of situation: Site faviconCustomer Support Community

  • Thank you @ColemenWilson & @MarkSnodgrass. I think I may not have described it well enough, but the textbox and subsequent cards I would like for them to filter are on the same page.

I could still use the Pfilter and relink it back to the same page but I would rather not have to reload the webpage every time the user wants to filter. Regardless, I appreciate your answers to my question!
