What is the "Forecast Value" doing when using the last value prediction property?

    It is doing linear regression. If you toggle between Forecast Value and Linear Regression you get the same results.

    My guess is they include the "Forecast Value" for those unfamiliar with data science and Linear Regression.

    Actually I got different outputs for the predicted values when I tried it so I do think they are calculating it differently. Just not sure how. The knowledge base says "If your data has a strong end-of-period trend, use Forecast Value will likely give you the projection you want." Which makes me think its something to do with seasonality.
