Creating new field by summing two values from existing field

Noob here trying to not bother our internal devs…

I'm working on the chart below which is charting 3 join method values by month (noted in key below). I'd like to consolidate the Live Stream and PhoneAutomatedPin into one new value called Unassisted Entry such that the bar chart only shows Unassisted Entry and PhoneOperatorAssisted.

Thoughts on how I can tackle this?

Create a beast mode/calculated field that looks like this:

CASE WHEN joinmethod in ('PhoneAutomatedPin','LiveStream') THEN ‘Unassisted Entry’ ELSE joinmethod END

Drag this beast mode into your series instead of the joinmethod and the chart will do the rest.

Mark - super appreciative of your help. I'm getting a syntax error and can't figure out why.

It doesn't like the tics around Unassisted Entry. Use the same type of single quotes you have around LiveStream and PhoneAutomatedPin on the Unassisted Entry and it should work.
