Unable to fetch data from Oracle ODBC in Workbench

Hello,

I'm trying to extract from Oracle using ODBC in workbench. I have follow following step for this

1) I have created System DSN for Oracle DB and tested connection its showing message " Connection successful".

2) Created workbench job for data extraction -

3) My Data extraction Query - SELECT country_id FROM countries

Whenever executing job getting error - One or more errors occurred , Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.

Did you check the perimission to DB or even table? Also, table should have data to create dataset.

Please try that. Try for other columns as well.

This is going to sound snide, but it really isn't meant to be. Did you try googling the error? A lot of the errors you'll encounter in data work are not unique to a product or platform.

If you google 'arithmetic overflow error' you'll find that typically that error occurs when the data doesn't fit into the data type of the column.

This is just the first article on the topic but the concept applies.

Basically if I had to guess, when Domo scans the first N rows to guess the column type of your CountryID column, it guesses 'this should be data type integer'. But somewhere along the way, it encounters non integer data.

Try explicitly CAST ing your data type as TEXT.
