App Studio Tabs

In App studio, I have inserted Tabs to my layout. I want to be able to add text boxes or buttons within each tab. I was able to drag and drop each inside a tab but it will not allow me to save the App. Is this not allowed or possibly a domo issue?

Thanks,

Sean

  • You can save buttons and such within individual tabs in App Studio. There must be something else causing it not to save.

    • Sometimes, the components don't properly "nest" inside the tab. Visually it might look correct, but technically they are not inside the tab container's hierarchy. Try re-placing it.
    • If you dropped an element and didn't finish configuring it (like leaving a button without a label or action), it could prevent saving.
    • Maybe try creating a new tab container and try placing in the new container to see if it's just a glitch.
    • Browser issue - try a different browser or clear the cache and reload. May be a browser issue and not a Domo issue.

For what it is worth, I was able to recreate my tab, move all my existing cards over and then insert the text boxes and buttons. I am guessing domo was just being glitchy? I was even able to add text boxes to other existing tabs but for whatever reason it would not allow it to happen in that specific tab.

  • Sounds like a win to me. Good job.
