Stacked bar + line chart doesn't stack

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a stacked bar + line chart that shows revenue amounts as bars broken out by revenue type, and the line as a count of contracts signed / won.

I've used beast modes to break down the revenue amounts into different columns by type and use that as series. However, no matter how I set this up, the revenue amounts won't stack but instead display as adjacent columns, each with the same period on x axis. It sometimes stacks briefly but then goes back to the wrong display when saving the chart. Any ideas on how to fix?

So I was able to make this work by making the beast modes part of the data set - for some reason that did trigger the values to stack

    Thanks everyone for your help!

  • Try using a Grouped Line + Bar Chart under vertical chart types.

    Hey Grant,

No luck with that either - I just get options for a single bar and 2 lines for series

  • Can we see your BeastModes? I suspect there is some difference in how the two bars are aggregating giving them a hard time combining.

Another (less likely) guess is something is off with the sort. Try adding date to your sort to see if that does anything.

    Hey,

    Sorting didn't help either

Here you go for beast modes -

The formulas reference columns I created in ETL -
