remove the option for search

Hi all
I want to remove the ability for people to search in Domo. We are setting clients up with accounts and a view-only access, but they can still use the search option
any ideas?

You could investigate custom roles to see if that allows you to eliminate those areas. Otherwise, it seems like looking into a Domo Everywhere solution seems better suited for your needs.

I don't like having those icons up there, at all. I'd rather see Domo spend time coding a default for variables (100+ upvotes) then adding icons we don't need.
When we started using Domo I was told we could request removal of "Buzz" from the interface. I did request it be remove but it is still. Maybe you get to request but nothing happens :/.
I'd assume you can ask your rep to have search removed from your environment.** Was this post helpful? Click Agree or Like below. **

Search should respect their permissions, so if they don't have access to a particular card, dashboard, or dataset, it will not show up in the search results. You will want to review what you have given them access to and then what they do in the search will only reveal what they can already see through the navigation.

the search option allows them to navigate to a lot more than just data, such as other users and contact details. We cant have this be visible.

Sounds like you'll want to look into embedded content, rather than giving them direct access to your Domo instance:
We use a SharePoint page with folders + links to privately embedded Domo content. If I solved your problem, please select "yes" above
