Entrata connector deprecation

Entrata has announced it will retire the use of username and password in favor of API key to access its API on June 30th 2025.  Consequently, the Domo Entrata connector that uses username and password to authenticate will be deprecated on July 1st 2025.

Customers who have existing datasets running on the version of the connector that requires a username and password and who still need to retain their datasets can request their datasets be migrated to the version of the Entrata connector that requires an API key.   Customers wishing to migrate their datasets should do the following by June 15th:

  1. Request an API key from Entrata.

To get an API key from Entrata, contact your Entrata CSM and request an “Internal API User”.

2. Enable the appropriate web services on the internal API user.

Once you have received your internal API user, edit the user in Entrata and add the appropriate webservices to the profile.  The full list is attached to this message.

3. Test out the Entrata connector that uses API key to ensure the connector is working correctly for them.

Power up the connector at https://<their_domo_instance>.domo.com/appstore/connectors/com.domo.connector.entrata.via.apikey.

Submit a Support ticket with the list of datasets to be migrated.  A migration typically works as follows:

  • Customer identifies some test datasets to migrate
  • Domo migrates test datasets and asks customers to confirm that they are working ok
  • If test datasets are working correctly, customer schedules the rest of the datasets to be migrated

Datasets that are not migrated by June 30th 2025 will cease to bring in data on that day and will throw an error generated by Entrata.

The Entrata connector that uses username and password will be deprecated on  July 1st 2025.  When the connector is deprecated, customers will no longer be able to access the settings of datasets that are still using this connector.  Customers who have datasets that they no longer need should disable the datasets from running before June 30th.
