Date Range and Graph by on Dashboard

I noticed that the "Date Range" and "Graph By" filters on the dashboard differ from those available when opening an individual card. Is this an admin setting restricting functionality?

Here’s how it appears on the dashboard, where only "Date Range" and "Graph By" are available:

When opening the card from the same dashboard, an additional "Compare to" option becomes available.

  • Hi @Manasi_Panov ,

It could also because of the card type. For the 2nd image you're showing, what type of chart are you showing?

    Hi @DashboardDude,

On the dashboard, the following 4 card types are used: Variance bar line, Grouped bar, Bar, and Line + grouped bar.

  • @Manasi_Panov right so those types of charts allow for a "Compare to" feature which is why you see it. However if you did something like a pie then you wouldn't see that show up.

    Hi @DashboardDude,

The problem is that I want to see it also on the Dashboard filtering options, not only when the card details are opened.

  • Ah okay. Unfortunately I don't think you can do that. However, you can use variables to make a filter at the top to choose things like "Compare to last year"
