Error After Workbench Upload : Tundra Exception Duplicate primary key found - Doesn't fix itself

I am struggling to get this resolved through support. We have had these Datasets uploading perfectly well for the last 16 months via Workbench. Initially we upload all of the data using a basic Select query in Workbench and the data indexes fine. Then we set the wokbench on a schedule, amending the wokbench query to upload only new and changed records using an upsert key. For the last week or so, as soon as the first upload is done using the schedule of updated records, the upload fails with the following error.

  • Domo has received your data, but there was an error in processing. This will automatically be corrected the next time this DataSet runs. Indexing failed: com.domo.ice.engine.impl.tundra.TundraException: [Tundra](3019) Duplicate primary key found in row "3752729" in previous data version.

As the message says, it will fix itself, however it doesn't. In the past such messages did happen very rarely and did fix on next run, but of late each subsequent job keeps failing. No matter how many times you try, the uploads to the dataset continue to fail. So far, the support team have not been able to fix it and it's been over a week. Its also impossible for us to navigate to the said Duplicate record to remove it ourselves as its on the backend of DOMO.

Has anyone seen this before? Whats the resolution? What can we do to fix it ?

  • As this is an issue with the Domo backend, Domo Support would need to be the one to help assist you with the error.

You could attempt to recreate the dataset to see if that'll get around your issue.

  • They seem to have updated something on the backend which may have fixed he issue. But waiting to see what it was and what caused it. Need an explanation to find out what caused the problken in the first place
