Is there no heatmap options available for a pivot table? Is there a workaround?

Its already present for the normal tables.

    Hi @chetan_cricut ,

Not for a pivot table. If you really want the heatmap you will have to make your date columns you want their own rows which is kind of a pain. However if you flip and have the dates as rows going from up and down instead of left to right then you can do a regular table with the heatmap.

@chetan_cricut There is an option to Transpose columns and rows for the Mega Table card. I like to build everything as a table first (be sure to add your date field as the first column), and then apply the heatmap settings I need. Lastly, transpose the columns to rows and you get an 'almost pivot table'

You could also try the Heatmap card type, but you may have to get creative with the date fields to get the granularity you need

If all you are pivoting is a single value metric by two categories, like in your example, you can use the "Heat map" chart type from "Popular charts" (not the Heat Map table). That pivots your data and gives a lot of heatmap options. I also like it because it's the only table type where you can use Tooltips to get a lot of control over how/what value is displayed. The only downside is no scrolling, so you are limited in size.

  • @DashboardDude the above snippet was a normal table with heatmap.

Below is the snippet of a pivot table which doesnt have a heatmap. How can i get one here?

  • @chetan_cricut That's what I'm actually saying. Pivot Tables don't have the option for a heat map. So if you wanted anything like it, you would need to do a megatable but make each year it's own column.
