Domo: 📈📈📈📈📈
Team,
Domo started as my little playground where I could explore data and visualizations.
Fast forward to now - and it's blowing up. Leaders, directors, owners (oh my!) are all wanting access and are trying to answer business questions with Domo.
This is a good problem to have as it puts me in a strong position to lead our company toward data fluency and proficiency.
My question: I'm struggling to prioritize tasks, requests, and projects. I'm also sensitive to sustainable scalability and want to ensure we are set up for years to come.
Any advice on responsible growth in Domo? How can I continue to help scale sustainably? Looking for general guidance and best practices from all the GOATS out there in the field 🐐

Have you taken the Domo certifications? The trainings for them are free and there are lots of best practices shared there. The MajorDomo certiciation training path is where I'd start as it has the most best practices around governing an instance and growing.
For prioritizing tasks and keeping things organized, I strongly recommend agile methodologies and running things in sprints. Here is our process:
1. We use a Smartsheet intake form for new requests to our team. They are added to our backlog for safe keeping. We then review the incoming requests daily in our Daily Scrum meeting as well as in our weekly (many teams do 2 week sprint cycles) sprint planning meeting. We prioritize, assign and score the requests.
2. We have automation in Smartsheet that keeps the requester updated as the status of their request changes. We also have a Domo card where at anytime the requester can check the status of their request.
3. Using Epics has been a huge help for our team as well. We create epics (projects) and then subtasks associated with that Epic. This helps us separate the high value larger asks from the rest of the noise.
4. Have an app/dashboard for managing your work for your team. Ours is pictured below.
5. If it is still too much to manage, putting the burden of prioritizing on people above your pay grade is a great way to go. By this step, you'll have things neatly organized and have data and visuals to allow executives/stakeholders to easily get an overview of your work. You can then give them the old, "I have been asked to do these 5 things. I only have the resources to do 4 of them. Which thing should be dropped or delayed? Can you rank the remaining 4 items in order of priority for the business?"
What our BI team App looks like. We review daily:What our Sprint Board in Smartsheet looks like:
If you can't budget for a tool like Smartsheet, you could use Projects and Tasks in Domo. It is free to all Domo users and has domostats associated with it to build similar visuals above. It is limited in its functionality and my understanding is that Domo does not plan to enhance it in the future.

Hi @Data_Devon ,
I'm also happy to help. I have courses people can take to learn Domo if they wanted. In addition, I can fly out and do 2-day Domobootcamps where I teach teams live to get everyone on the same playing field and then dedicate the last 2 hours of each day to do office hours where we crank out whatever is needed.

Happy to discuss
