Why are card edit paths within a dashboard different
Typically when I edit a card within a dashboard, I've first used the wrench to select "edit dashboard". Then, when I hover over a card, it displays "edit content" and I use that utility to edit the card. However, on one of the dashboards that I inherited, the card only displays "remove" when I hover over in the same location as "edit content" on other cards. I've checked and I'm the owner of the cards in question, so I'm wondering why the functionality is different. I'm attaching screenshots for reference. Thanks!

Even if you are the owner of the card, there might be specific permissions on the dashboard restricting edit. Card type could also affect it. For example, if I create a card with a blank brick, the edit may appear different than one that isn't on a brick. You may also try clearing your browser cache to make sure its not affecting the view.
