Why doesn't the Date Settings feature in Magic ETL update my dates?

When I navigate to Settings and change the Timezone to America/Los Angeles, it doesn't change any of the values for my date columns.
However, when I navigate to my input dataset in the ETL and change the time zone on an individual date field, it works as expected.
Am I doing something wrong?

@travorhouse Is the time zone for your instance the same as the time zone in your dataset?

@MichelleH, It’s supposed to be, yes. I changed the dataset timezone to other timezones such as UTC and it still fails to update it dataset wide. However, when I click on my input in the Magic ETL and adjust the timezone there, it adjusts the date fine.
this option is fine, it just means that every time I bring in a new date field that I will have to remember to change the timezone.
