Any Way to Report on Column Usage in Cards

We are trying to filter out unnecessary and unused columns from our datasets and it would be really useful to be able to create a DomoStats or Governance report that shows which columns are used on cards and which are not used at all. Is there any way to do this?

@pstrand2 Yes, you would want to use the Card Fields with Beast Modes report from the Domo Governance Connector. This will tell you which cards use each field by dataset.

  • Thanks, @MichelleH that's exactly what I needed!

  • @MichelleH — Has the Card Fields with Beast Modes report been removed from DomoStats? Or is this a premium feature that must be requested through our CSM? I do not see it currently listed.

  • @BSovers It has not been removed, but it is a report in the Domo Governance Connector, not DomoStats.

  • Thanks @MichelleH … I was trying to stay away from the Domo Governance Connector because it was a third-party connector, and may be removed. Is it actually Domo-supported?

  • @BSovers Yes, Domo is listed as the publisher in the Appstore. You can read more about the connector here: https://domo-support.domo.com/s/article/360056318074?language=en_US

  • Domo is working on replacing the Governance Datasets, but this has been years in the making. As such, use what is there if it has not yet been created in DomoStats.

  • @pstrand2 can you share your card set up? I'm trying to create something like this for my organization, maybe you can show a bit how you set it up.

    Thank you
