Excluding Current Month (but on a different fiscal calendar)

Hi - we work off a broadcast (Monday-Sunday) calendar and was wondering if there was a beast mode that can exclude the current month? I've tried a few versions found on the dojo but since I'm checking "use fiscal calendar" on my graphs (eg: bar chart) it seems to not function correctly.

Eg:

Case when Month(`Date`) <= Month(current_date) - 1 and Year(`Date`) = Year(current_date) then 'yes' else 'no' end

thanks!

    Try this one:

    CASE WHEN LASTDAY(`Date`) = LASTDAY(CURRENT_DATE) THEN 'No' ELSE 'Yes' END

    Here's a writeup I did on the LASTDAY function if you want to read more:

  • If you're using this to adjust for closing activities in a financial use case, you should just create a table of months and when the month was closed and work that into your data.

    Just blanket filtering to exclude the current month is ... a solution that may lead to heartache down t he road.
