Hello DOJO,

I'm on the verge of making a change in my DOMO production instance main URL.

Did any one already go through this process?

If so what where your biggest concerns and difficulties?

Thank you.

Is this a change in the domain? If so will you have a redirect in place for the legacy url in case people have it bookmarked?

It may make sense to reach out to Domo Support on this one.

    Thanks!

Just to summarize this with some more information

We talked with support in order to try and have to DNS entries pointing to our instance, in a temporary fashion while we modified everything to the new url.

Support told us that it's impossible to have 2 DNS entries to the same instance.

Given this, our approach is to do an exhaustive survey of all the issues that need modifications, and this are the areas where we will be focusing :

    • Our Workbench jobs will have to be updated to the new URL.
    • Any SSO configuration will have to be updated if needed.
    • Any custom API integration will need to point to the new URL.
    • Dataset via email datasets created before the domain change will no longer work and all emails sent to the old address will be rejected. Please create a new dataset after the domain name change.
    • Our public Publication Links will need to be again shared with the users as they will change and the old ones will stop working.

Will keep this updated if we encounter some more relevant information as we go through this process.

    Regards

    Hi Dani,

We are articulating this with support and our success manager.

Just wanted some insight from anyone who had done this.

    Thanks
