Activity Log

This knowledge base article lists all of the events that are tracked in the Activity Log, but it's not obvious what some of them mean (eg. “Shared” vs “Added” vs “Access Granted”). It would be helpful to add definitions to the documentation so that admins can better leverage this data.…

Using AI agent and APP Catalyst. I built an AI chatbox that i am able to embed in dashboards. But as an admin i need to be able to see what users are asking the chatbox to monitor and even better prepare Data dictionary. Is there a way to see chat logs of all users as an admin?

Stop wasting time navigating menus, managing hundreds of identical browser tabs, copying dataset IDs from the URL, and constantly clearing your cookies. Domo Toolkit is designed for the people who live inside Domo every day—administrators managing hundreds of objects, consultants jumping between client instances, and power…

The current magic ETL history page for any particular ETL shows the run successes near the top of the page, in a style that looks similar to a history of git-commits. Hovering over a square shows the number of successful runs on that date. We would like to implement some method of process control visible to all domo users…

Currently, the DomoStats Activity Log does not capture records for scheduling or configuration changes regarding connector based datasets. This omission leads to significant visibility gaps, causing users to incorrectly assume that no modifications have occurred when changes have, in fact, been made. Resolving this issue…

I'm not seeing official Domo documentation on this, so can someone help define what each Action literally means in Domo? For example, I have an App which contains multiple tabs and cards. I see VIEWED as an action, does that mean someone clicked on the card? Or just scrolled past it? Does EXPORTED mean they clicked into…

Hi Team, When looking at the bottom of a card you can see the total views: However, when looking at the same card in the Activity Log, and looking at the action "Viewed", these values aren't remotely close. Can you explain the discrepancy?

Hi everyone, I'd like to request the ability to track when a PowerPoint presentation is refreshed using the DOMO Add-In through the Activity Log. This feature would be extremely helpful for auditing and monitoring purposes, as it would allow us to see when users are pulling data into their presentations and ensure that…

Currently, the Activity Logs report in Remote DomoStats (observability metrics) has a default backfill period of 14 days, reduced from the previous 180 days. There might be some issues with jobs or accounts, particularly if jobs do not run for more than 14 days, resulting in data gaps. Additionally, the initial run…

I am looking at the activity log and I can see that it has following action: 'Created', 'Updated', 'Viewed'. But for filter cards I am trying to calculate how many times someone has applied filter on that card. Or even any filter on any card on a page. Are these metrics available in the activity log or any other DomoStats?

Hi team, We've loved Domo and every day and every dashboard it feels like we are making progress towards a more-informed future. I want to be able to measure the success that we've had. I am aware of the DomoStats People app and the DomoStats Activity Log, but how do you all measure the impact of all that we do? How can I…

I have a data set of invoices that I want to compare in a bar graph where one bar is October and the other bar is November. I suppose I can do this with a beast mode but I think my syntax is off. Case when Title LIKE '%OTT%' Then 'OTT' AND MONTH(Date) = CURRENT_DATE(MONTH(Date)) THEN 'Current Month' Case when Title LIKE…

Hi team, Posting this for one of our customers, in regards to the DomoStats connector: The DomoStats connector only provides a small rolling window of Activity Log entries in the Activity Log report. We currently retain only 30 days (though in the past we retained a longer window). However, the connector report…

Yes I know I can do it in the Activity log dataset, but it be great if you could filter OUT actions/users, etc. while viewing the activity log in the admin panel. Often there's users/content types that are filling up the activity log when I'm trying to look for something else.

Hi Team, Is there a native solution to Domo to track changes made to Dashboards, Card, Datasets, etc.? I know that Dataflows have the "Version" commentary, so you can see who made what changes at what time. Is there a similar functionality for Dashboards and Cards? I want to monitor who is making changes to cards and…

Today, we cannot see which files are exported from Domo. We can only see the name of the file/chart/image but have no idea which cards they correspond to. This is a MAJOR security flaw that puts companies at risk

I have someone in an instance with thousands of action every day at the same times. Action = CREATED Object_Type = CONTAINER_VIEW I checked the object names and found that they are cards. It appears that this has something to do with the page's scheduled report, but It's only got a few of the cards reporting this behavior.…

apparently remote domo stats have to be enabled on a per request basis (ticket 05875821) if i have 100 instances, what would be the most expedient way of confirming that all of them have the same stats reports available? if Domo updates a version of the report (and modifies the schema or how content is generated) what…

Does any one know whether there is an audit log entry for a deleted dashboard and if so, where that would be found? Thank you

Hi, I want to be able to see stats and insights on who in our organization is accessing dashboards and interacting with cards. What's the easiest method, and can I set up some kind of dashboard that allows us to see these stats? Thank you.

It would be great if beastmodes had a comment and save version function just like when we update dataflows. When we update the dataflow (in Magic ETL), it really helps to have the comment section for version updates. If we have something similar for beastmodes, it would be helpful as we can understand why certain…

The 'Description' of every event is available in list of Activity when accessed through Admin Page but the column 'Description' is not available in the dataset of Activity Logs coming from DomoStats. Though logs have some details of certain activities but not for all and not as good as given in 'Description'. So one ends…

At the moment it can be unclear when users are downloading data from Domo. For example requests against this API https://{{domo_instance}}.domo.com/api/query/v1/execute/{{dataset_id}} , do not hit the activity log; however, savy users could use this to download datasets to their computer. I appreciate that this same query…
