Dataflow wont run!

Hi I have my dataflow in Domo and it ran fine. I then added a bit to it to bring in more information and it saves and the preview runs fine. I expanded the preview to check the max number of lines. But....when I now go to save and run it, it just tells me DataFlow was saved, but could not be run. Any thoughts on what I can check that is causing this block?

In the dataset overview, I don't have the history option between the lineage and pdp headings.

Nicola.

  • Are all your tiles highlighted or are there some that are greyed out (I'd look at these if you have any)?

  • usually if the dataflow isn't bugged (as @GrantSmith suggested), if the dataflow won't run it's b/c it's already running.

    Looking to the get answer for the same error. all the tiles looks good and there is no gray tile. any reason why I am getting this error?

  • @Atieh When I've received that error before, it's usually because the dataflow is already running. I would check the dataflow history to see if that's the case.

    @MichelleH I checked to see if it was already running, and it wasn’t. I left it for a day and came back to it, but I’m still getting the same error.

  • @Atieh Do you get an error message if you try to manually run from the dataflow history screen instead of "Save and Run"?

    @MichelleH This is a new ETL and that hasn’t been run before. So I have to do the Manual run anyways.

  • @Atieh The message in your screenshot says it was saved, so you don't have to run it from the ETL editor screen. If you attempt a manual run from the dataflow history it should provide more details on why the run fails.

    @MichelleH

    The problem is I am not seeing the run option on the ETL

  • @Atieh These looks like the options for the output dataset, not the dataflow. If you click "View DataFlow" it you should see an option to re-run it.
