GA4 Landing page versus Full page URL
Hello everyone,
I'm encountering an issue with our GA4 API metrics where the landing page and full page URL show different pages.
For context, here's what we have set up:
Metrics: views, average session duration, session, engaged session
Dimensions: landing page, full page URL, page title, file name, video URL
This inconsistency is confusing, and I am not sure why this is happening or what I should be referencing. My primary objective is to generate sessions and view graphs while gaining insights into traffic sources.
Should I prioritize analyzing the landing page data, given this discrepancy? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

It can be any page on your site, such as a help page, contact page, home page, or blog post. The landing page is where a user initiates a session on your website. The full page URL is the page that the user is visiting.
Are you looking to determine which page is driving traffic (landing page) or are you looking to which pages users are visiting (full page URL) ?

Hi Grant, I am trying to answer the question on page performance and want to count traffic from all sources and not just the first visit. It sounds like, in this case, I'd measure that from the full page URL since the landing page is the first page they visited. Correct?
