Highlighting data x location which does not meet a specified target

Hi, I have created a pivot table with a formula 'Weekly Target Flag' which highlights locations which have not met their weekly target of safety Observations.

The problem is to get the data to highlight I need to add the formula as a column. The information then appears in the table. How do I create a formula which does not appear in the table or how do I hide the column information 'Weekly Target Flag'?

Hi @Patricia_Zavisky ,

You just have to go to General under Chart Properties and go to Hide columns and select the column number your formula is in. So I'd suggest making that your first column and just choosing to hide column 1

Unfortunately, you can't hide a column in a pivot table. You could reformat your data before putting it in the table to use the hidden column feature (in a not-pivot table), or you could go even more manual and apply your color rules using HTML:

You'll also find many feature requests in the idea exchange for the ability to conditionally format cells of a table based on a formula not in the table. Upvote a couple dozen of those, or add your own, and surely it will eventually be implemented.
