Carousel Brick text display

I have the Carousel Brick installed. I was hoping to modify it to rotate quotes/text every few seconds. When I try to edit the app, it looks like it can only display chart types. Any ideas? Or maybe a simpler solution than editing the app.

You could use the Word Cloud chart type, and have a different dataset/column/etc. feed into each slide:
