Editable "Form"/Survey Style to Log Interactions

Team,

Is there a functionality within Domo wherein end users can log interactions? Something like this:

I tried to build out a Form in AppStudio, but all end users got an "Error Loading Form" issue (see my separate thread:

Any ideas?? I've thought about making a Google sheet that was connected to Domo but that feels clunky.

  • I have built a form very similar to this in App Studio. It has been very successful. However, just recently the end users started receiving the Error Loading Form message that you reported. I don't see the message when I access the form. We have Domo support ticket created and are waiting on the issue to be resolved so that users can start using the form again.

You can definitely make that form in Domo. I would suggest any of your dropdown lists to be driven by a dataset so that you ensure data is entered correctly and you can manage the lists without having to edit the form itself.

Thank you @MarkSnodgrass for the input :)

When you say "make that form in Domo", I assume you mean that I can deploy it from within a normal Dashboard interface?

  • Domo has a few different variations of forms. There is Form Builder that was created several years ago that can be deployed within a classic dashboard. You can find Form Builder (and that accompanying Form Viewer) in the App Store.

App Studio has its own form creation tool that has some nice improvements like data type checking. This form is only accessible within an App Studio app.

I would recommend making the form within app studio and have users access the form within the app.

I tried making the form that was accessible from within the app - but that's what led to the "Error Loading Form" issue!

I did just get confirmation from Domo support though that there was a bug in the Form so it is perhaps resolved.
