Pivot Table Date Range

Here's my pivot table setup:

Rows= Project Name, Financial Category Name

Columns = Financial Month

Values = Actual Cost

Works well so far, but what I'm now looking for is to only show the date range of the projects included in the pivot, so Financial Month would be the way to go.

However, in the Date Range Selector, the "Date range field" is grayed out, and I only have the option to pick from the upper section, Current, Next, Between, etc.

When I hover over the question mark criteria, the one that it shows that I'm not meeting is "Select a Period over Period chart type from the right", so it seems the Pivot card type is what's limiting me….. but I'm not sure any others fit what I need.

Is there a solution here?

    Is Financial Month an actual date-type column, or is it a string column? If not, you might need to reformat it so that Domo reads it as a date.
