Custom Color by Value in Symbol + Grouped Bar Chart

In my chart, the target value is the symbol. I have two series one that is showing daily value and the other showing month to date value. I would like the color of the bar for the daily value and the color of the bar for the monthly value to be green if target is met, yellow if value is 95% of target and red if value is less than 95% of target. Using ChatGPT suggestion I created the following beast mode "Target Achieved":
CASE
WHEN 'Daily' >= Target THEN 'Green'
WHEN Daily > Target*0.95 Then 'Yellow'
ELSE 'Red'
END
I went into Colors and set Target achieved to each of the colors. It did not change my the colors on my graph. Is there a way to customize color by value in a symbol + grouped bar chart? I have customized colors by value using a bullet chart before but I don't see a way to show both daily and month to date in a bullet chart. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

  • Hi @RTM ,

Unfortunately, I don't think you can do that for this chart. The code you have doesn't really work because we are in SQL and assigning things to color names is a very HTML thing. These are charts are usually one color per bar.

HOWEVER, there are other charts that might help. For instance, you can use a regular mega table and make a column to show % to target. I made a video to explain a bit more: https://www.loom.com/share/82d5a98d9fb7442c819e08acb27e7477
