Duplicates

Hey guys,

I'm experiencing duplicate fields on my data grid and trying to figure out how to remove them.

Answers

  • @B_arnett_1_9_8_8 Where specifically are you seeing duplicates (card, dataset, etc.)?

  • I'm seeing it on my card. I created a table pulling an ID, Name, Child Id, Child Name, and a specific associated tag added. For some reason, almost every line item displays 2 line items (a line of data with and without the tag). It also shows a few lines with the item having previous tags.

After doing a little more research. it appears that it's almost as if the data is showing all tags that ever were associated to this (past, and present… (currently assigned and no longer assigned)).

@B_arnett_1_9_8_8 Add a filter to show only lines that have the currently assigned tags ( most recent) to your datagrid.

  • Agreed, the filter is the way to go! Also sometimes adding an aggregate will remove "duplicates!"

  • Thanks, guys, for your help and feedback!

I'm sorry, I'm fairly new to Domo.

Are you referring to the traditional filter on the card? Or are you referring to other filters? If so, please elaborate on which filter you're referring to?

  • I don't see many options when editing the traditional filters on the cards

  • You said you had a field with tags. Add that as a filter in the "Filters" section of card analyzer view (the view where you are editing the card). Then filter by Selection on the Tag field and choose the tag that is current.
