Add a calculated row in a Table?

I have a table with these 5 columns: Class 3, MTD, MTD %, MTD Budget, MTD Budget %.
How can I add a Row below Cost of Sales called 'Gross Margin' = Sales - Cost of Sales?, and it work for both MTD & MTD Budget?
Context: My have categorized Sales & Cost of Sales into a 'Gross Margin' Group → then use pivot table to have domo sum up Gross Margin for me. But my end users do not want to see the grouping like that. They prefer to have just 1 column that have categories go from Sales, Cost of Sales, Gross Margin.

So, the question is: how to have sub-totals display in-line with their category and still preserve the ability to have a total row.
Short answer, no you can't do that.
Long answer, you could fake it using an ETL: pre-calculate the sub-totals and totals and append the rows:
Then turn off the subtotals and totals in your card and it will give the desired appearance.
I would not recommend this approach, as it would not be dynamic with filters the way subtotals/totals normally are, but if you just need a static card in this exact format, it would technically work.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what's in your data, but I think you just need to drop 'Class 2' from your rows. Then format your total row to have the same formatting as your other rows.

My Class 3 only has Sales & Cost of Sales, so if I drop Class 2, it will only show Sales & Cost of Sales.
I have a sample dataset here0 -
In your sample data, if you drop Class 2, add a total row, you can label the total row "Gross Margin", and it will appear like the other rows:

ohhh maybe I should have mentioned that my real dataset has more than Sales & Cost of Sales, It also have Office Expenses, Building Expenses —> which eventually, I would also like to create a 'Total Expense' row
