I want to set up an alert that counts the number of rows coming in from a connector such that if it is less than say 15k, then my team is sent an alert.

Hi @vsrinivas I would recommend using a dataset alert. Here is a KB article walking through dataset alerts and how to set one up:
Alternatively you could use a card alert. You'd need to build a card that counts the number of rows and partition by some update ID or date like _BATCH_LAST_RUN_ or _BATCH_ID_
