How to resolve dead space area on a Dashboard?

While creating and editing a new dashboard and cards, somehow, I managed to create a dead space that seems to be un-editable. I can't add cards or do anything in this area no matter what I have tried (moving cards to appendix, removing cards things around the area, manipulating size and borders, refreshing, etc.) and was wondering if anyone had this issue before or what you'd recommend for troubleshooting? See the below photo for what I am experiencing or let me know if I can provide further detail. Thanks!

@GrantSmith Unfortunately, not. There was nothing that would allow me to do anything in that space and the trash icon was not present as there wasn't a card in that space. I think it was some sort of lag/glitch that took place. I ended up Saving As to duplicate the dashboard, then converting the original dashboard to a 'standard page' before switching it back, in which case it seemingly reset everything. I then recreated it using the duplicate version as my guide as I couldn't resolve the issue. Thank you for the response, Grant - I appreciate it!

@DavidChurchman Appreciate the feedback, David. Unfortunately, the blank space was not a card and didn't allow me to manipulate the borders unless it was editing the structure of cards and borders in the surrounding area. I did solve the issue through converting the dashboard to a standard page, then switching it back and re-creating it. Essentially, that reset whatever was taking place. Thanks much!

  • When you go in and edit the layout of the dashboard, are you able to see the delete / trash icon when hovering over that section?

  • Sometimes it can be hard to access the menu on small cards, so I might try resizing it to see if that menu appears. (Drag the border of the dead-space up into the card above it)

  • As David mentions, sometimes a card might not render properly but still occupies space. Go to the dashboard's edit mode. Look for outlines or boundaries of the dead space. Try resizing.

There may also be some type of grid misalignment or layout issue. Go to edit and see if you can drag something else there or reposition to see if it clears.

Try removing filters or hidden content. It may be that filters are not applied correctly to the visible cards. Remove unused filters to see if it clears.

You can also try to browser the browser's console by right clicking and select inspect.

Another possibility - is there a card or occupied object that you don't have permission to?
