Reading Contracts and answering questions with data and AI

I need a way to read my signed contracts and have the ability to ask questions using my data.

Example:

Sources: 10 pdf contracts loaded & my support ticket dataset & financial dataset

Question: Average support tickets per contract with maintenance? What is the average cost per ticket.

Note: these PDFs are not in an inventory database. These are files from legal that we are trying to coordinate with.

Was thinking of something like NotebookLM<>Domo, but would rather have it in Domo

Let's start with whether I understand the question - you want to….

• Read and analyze signed PDF contracts that are not in a structured database (just legal files).

• Integrate these contracts with their existing datasets, specifically:
  • A support ticket dataset.
  • A financial dataset.

• Ask questions such as:
  • Average number of support tickets for contracts with maintenance clauses.
  • Average cost per ticket.

Assuming I have that correct, you would need to handle several issues in Domo. The first and probably most problematic would be uploading PDF contracts and trying to extract the data. I could possibly see doing that using a Python script or some PDF application to convert the contracts to a format like csv or excel. Assuming you can convert the PDFs, you could then automate the import into Domo using Python, Domo Workbench, etc.

You would need to prep a few datasets in Domo. A contract dataset to hold the relevant details from the contracts. Then you need to integrate that with existing datasets, such as support tickets, using a common field such as contact ID or client. You also would need to join with financial data to identify things like ticket costs and contact values.

Once you have the datasets setup, and your information extracted, you would need to create an ETL with beast mode calculations to create metrics such as filtering contracts by maintenance clauses, etc. And to calculate the average number of support tickets per contract. And something to calculate the average cost per ticket.

That would be the foundation for you to then build dashboards and cards to visualize your information and insights into the data. Get that done, and yes, I could see this all being done in Domo.
