Is there a way in the Activity Log to monitor Microsoft Add-in Usage?

I have users who are extracting data from a Domo card into an excel file through the Microsoft Add-in. I have run some tests but am unable to see any activity when I refresh the data. I would like to be able to see who and how often this is being done. Has anyone been able to track this type of usage?

Did some testing here and the closest you can get in the activity log is to look in the Browser_Details field. I believe there will be a unique (or unique-ish) value there for this type of activity. You could look for that exact match or may notice a pattern if you have a few users doing this it will likely be a similar convention for the field value if not an exact match. For example, for my test the value was Java-SDK:3.33.16_ES.1. I haven't tested with other users at my company but I would imagine the value would be something similar, perhaps Java-SDK:3.33.16_ES.2 or something like that.

I did some more testing this afternoon. The first time you extract the card to excel, it does create a record in the Activity Log showing that you viewed the card that you extracted into excel, even though I did not view the card on the page. I am also not seeing anything in the "Brower_Details" column for this event.
Further testing has shown that there is no record in the activity log that shows when the user "Refreshes" the data in Excel.

Yes, but does it differ at all from a normal card view? Is there a way to know that it was viewed in excel?

No difference from a regular VIEWED CARD action. Just know that I didn't actually view the card in Domo…only extracted it to excel.
I am guessing I will need to submit a comment in the Ideas Exchange to get this information added.
