New PPT Plugin

Hi, I'm using the new PPT Plugin and I see that to save filters you can select them directly on the PPT document rather than in DOMO like before, which is great, but is there a way to pin certain columns so that I don't have to scroll through all of the columns available?
This document will be shared with many people so coaching them how to select the filters would be much easier if they didn't have to scroll through 200 fields.
Or better yet, is there a possibility to filter the dashboard directly in DOMO and bring that filtered data into the PPT? The Legacy Plugin used to let you do that.

Hi there! I believe there should be a couple ways to accomplish your desired outcome, outlined below:

    • When importing card(s) from Domo to PPT, and applying filters, there should be a search bar to quickly narrow/find column(s) you are interested in. Similarly, once dragged over to filter side, there is also a search bar located within the filter itself if selecting specific value(s) from the column(s) being filtered
      • While this won't pin the columns, it definitely helps expedite the process of finding the proper filter fields. Since this will be shared document, my assumption is that the necessary column titles could be shared with users who have been given access

    • Another solution, depending on update cadence of this document, could be applying the filters in your version of the document and sharing that out, as I believe the filters should persist.
      • For example, I was using the plugin to create email reporting metrics specifically for the month of June, thus I filtered all my imported cards to include only June send dates
        • When refreshing the data closer to the end of the month to capture additional metrics, those same send date filters persisted through the update
        • In terms of documenting what filters have been applied, after you are finished applying/saving filters while importing card(s), you can select "display filter settings" so users who are viewing shared document are aware of filters are affecting card(s)

    • If attempting to import all cards from a dashboard, you do have the ability to create and save a filter view in Domo, which can then be applied to cards being imported via plugin.
      • From Domo PPT plugin, select "Dashboards" from navigation bar at top, select the dashboard you are looking for, and click vertical 3-dot icon to "import all cards"
      • Then, under "Dashboard Filters", there should be dropdown where you can select specific filter view to apply

    Hope this is helpful!
