How do I make a Domo to Power BI Connection with Microsoft Authentication or Okta SSO and not ROPC?
Using the connector on the left requires an ROPC verification type which asks for the users Password. Our security requires that we work through a redirect with SSO and a token is passed back so passwords are only entered in one area. I believe the MSAL connector on the right should fill that criteria but it is still asking for a user id and password on the initial connector form. Using my personal credentials I get an error despite being in the Azure group and having the privileges/rights assigned. I don't have SSO enable currently for my Domo instance which may be at least one of the problems. The other, is perhaps I shouldn't be using my person credentials but rather a service account. Has anyone come across this and found a resolution or a better method to connect Domo to PowerBI for those stuck on the Micro-verse world?

ODBC stands for Open Database Connectivity, simply put, it's a connection or handshake between systems. You may have several, some for source and others for destinations or both.
I have data coming into Domo through Workbench, Python, and APIs. And I have data displayed in Domo and some other data routed out to Power BI, MS SQL, Azure, and Excel csv files.** Was this post helpful? Click Agree or Like below. **

I don't know about the path you are seeking. But, are you aware there is a Domo ODBC connector that can connect you to your Power BI? Our Finance team uses Power BI and we use the ODBC to source our Domo data via their Power BI dashboards.

@ArborRose, thank you, I'm somewhat familiar with it and I sent it back to our engineering team to have them explore it more. There actually three ODBC connectors. One for Amazon Redshift, one for OASIS Rest API, and another for Domo Workbench(also Windows Server or .NET Framework). I'm hoping they can make one of those work relatively easily. Workbench is on prem which is definitely not the direction we want to go. Cloud, Cloud, Cloud is the mantra I'm told.
