Y axis categories not interacting on dashboard

I am working on a dashboard, and I have been able to easily link my x axis categories like date quarter or region to where if I hover over one it highlights it on all the other cards in the dashboard. If I select one in a check box it filters out on all the cards. But the same is not true for the y axis. If I hover over revenue on one it wont highlight revenue on all the others. They are all coming from the same data table so I don't know what the issue is.

Side question is there a way to use a check box to filter by numerical value category. Lets say I have a stacked bar graph with revenue expenses and insurance. each is its own column and is a numerical value. I want to be able to add a checkbox filter so that only expenses are shown on the bar graph. Or just expenses and insurance, etc…

For the first part of your question, that is just the way Domo is.

For the second part, yes. You could do this using a variable and also by clicking on the legend on the card to hide that bar.
