Create a helper column to combine data

New to this :-)

My data consists of two things, created date and closed date.

I received 45 tickets for week commencing 05/26 and closed 68 tickets for the same week.

The tickets received were created same week however the closed tickets are combination of tickets created same week and in the past (backlogs).

When I create a visualization (group column chart), I can't find the right way to combine this numbers.

When I use created date as a category, it will only show the numbers created and closed for that week

When I use close date as a category, it will also show incorrect numbers.

The only solution I can think of is to create a helper column to combine this data

Another potential option that won't require you to restructure your data, is to just use 2 cards, one for open, and one for closed.
