Resizing Cards in AppStudio

When I click on a card/element to resize it, the edit panel on the right-hand side of the screen opens and dynamically resizes all the content, making it difficult to tell if my resizing is working as expecting. Is there a way to avoid this?

There is not. Apps use dynamic sizing so you are only estimating sizes either way. Relative sizing/spacing is all that you can ultimately control currently in Apps. I use an ultrawide monitor for app building which makes it easier to resize.
