Dataset Copy Connectors Do Not Support Federated Datasets

I'm posting this as I ran into some older threads that recommended using a Domo Dataset Copy connector to access data from a federated dataset. There are different use cases where this may be desired. Recent testing for customer and consultation with colleagues suggests that you cannot use a Domo Dataset Copy connector with a federated dataset. In my use case, I worked with a Snowflake federated dataset and couldn't get this to work.

If anybody finds this is not the case, I would welcome responses that include the connector used and the an brief description of the use case.
